We escape together?
Our activities are offered at different rates with our formulas (see next page) they offer discounts on all our services and are accessible to all:
The region of Kampong Thom offers a really different Cambodia, great contrast with the cities and the most tourist spots.
Here, people are natural and you will enjoy the last real smiles of Southeast Asia.
We are passionate people with my wife and wish to share our passion for this wonderful country.
The principle of what we propose is to do all these activities without a translator guide and to simply let you follow the people who drive you.
The charm of trying to manage to communicate as best as we can gives a little adventurous side to the thing and the charm of what I myself experienced a few years ago now arriving for the first time in this country.
Finally, we always get to be understood and, if we do not succeed it is that it was not really that important.
Smiles will suffice for too much discussion;)
The eyes will be filled with images and the heart full of emotions.
You will cross the dirt tracks of beautiful Khmer villages where people still live from their own agricultural production, you will reach Phnom Santuk, the sacred mountain pre-Angkorian. It is a very lively and spiritual place 100% Khmer where time has stopped for 1,400 years.
You can if you wish to have access to some Buddhist rituals with the monks and venerable on site, it's very simple, just approach, give an offering and be guided because they love to initiate people who approach them, even if you have no knowledge of Buddhism.
You just have to dare.
(we will give you some instructions and explanations written with the plan of the visit)
Then visit the stonecutters and the silk farm.
I do not give you more information on this tour to you to discover the surprises.
On your return a lunch awaits you then a tour in the rice field will allow you to go further to places where tourists do not go, you will cross many isolated villages on red dirt tracks that will take you to temples centuries of more than 1400 years unknown to mass tourism.
You will meet the local population mainly peasant. People are authentic and very rarely see tourists.
The children will greet you all along the way of their famous: Helllooooooo !!!
Make them nice;)
Your regular stops will offer you fantastic panoramas and moments to rest and rest in the shade of the palm trees, enjoying 100% natural and delicious cane syrups.
Swimming on sandy beaches in the rice field or in different incredible spots depending on the season.
No more information on this walk either to keep a surprised eye.
Sambor Pré Kuk: The site with more than 300 stupas in a fairy forest. Classified UNESCO in 2017.
We can organize a private car, mini van or tuk-tuk an excursion to the beautiful site of Sambor Pré Kuk which has just been classified in 2017 at UNESCO (World Heritage).
Excursion of about 7 hours according to your rhythm and your desires with the visit of the site of Sambor Pré Kuk but also of the tree with the gigantic bats, the house of the governor (Old Colonial Government Mansion and Bat Colony), the pagoda boats, an amazing and beautiful construction with a strange history as it exists only here in a very isolated place that has the particularity of being in the center of Cambodia.
Then, if you wish you can also spend a pleasant time back from your ride with a cause that is important to us, a massage session with blind masseuses for 1 or 2 hours depending on your choice.
Pleasure and have fun :)
The floating villages of Kampong Thom are one of the last few places not explored by mass tourism, it is a particularly haunting and incredible atmosphere. We can arrange a visit of these from home to take a fast boat and visit this place that will leave you with memories forever.
The tour lasts about 9 hours with the program up the river and the discovery of monkeys on the trees, birds and their amazing nests of ingenuity, the first floating houses, a local meal with the inhabitants in one of them , then the discovery of the small floating city where everything is organized like a real city on land, the visit of the bottom of the Tonle Sap and the Vietnamese floating village that has remained frozen in time in its operation and return to Kampong Thom where a taxi or a tuk-tuk will take you home late afternoon for a well deserved dinner and night.
IMPORTANT TO READ:
We do not regret any accidents since the creation of Soban Teuk and wish that continues :)
The motorcycle license is not obligatory in Cambodia for displacements of less than 125 cc.
For those who want to drive it is necessary and indispensable to have notions of driving in two wheels and in this case we offer experienced drivers at no extra charge as an alternative
We will conduct a test drive prior to each departure and we reserve the right to withdraw or modify the service if a person does not fulfill the recommendations announced above.
Driving in Asia is not the same as in other countries, it can be very dangerous.
We use parts of road on tar (national 6), dirt tracks and very narrow bridges to cross. You do not have to be a great sportsman to do these tricks but to be warned of certain difficulties related to the seasons and driving in this country.
Children as passengers:
This activity is not suitable for young children except under the responsibility of their parents. Our advice: Passenger not under 7 years old and in local conditions but we have already taken care of children of two years.
It is possible to adapt some towers in tuk-tuk for those who fear both wheels.
We will have you sign a document before each departure to discharge our responsibility by telling you that it will be your insurance that will come into play in case of accident.
Do not worry, you are largely protected by your travel insurance.
INFORMATION:
In Cambodia everything is possible as in many countries of South East Asia ...
We must nevertheless have, ourselves, a moral conduct that we will explain to you.
You will be able to immerse yourself with the people you meet to answer some of your questions and questions that you may have about this country, its inhabitants, its superstitions, its rituals and its traditions so complex sometimes ...
